How do you measure a year in the life?
New Years Day a day to ring out the old and bring in the new. It is now 2012 and we have closed the books on 2011. I usually don't give much thought to the past year on New Years Day. It is the day to start brand new it is resolution day be healthy, lose weight, and get organized etc..... but this year is different. In 2011 I hit the highest of highs and have felt the lowest of lows. I have cried more, laughed more, and have never prayed so much in my entire life!
There were some life lessons in 2011- I will never again take anything for granted and I have learned to let go of things that don't really matter. Let's not forget the old cliche you really are stronger than you think you are.
I have learned to be grateful-
I am thankful to God and the blessings he has bestowed on my family.
Last year I chose a quote that was to be my mantra for the year and posted it on my facebook page "Live the Life you Imagined" by Thoreau. Ha I can assure you I never in a million years imagined my life would be the life we lived through the past year that is for sure. That being said I am changing it to a quote that is much more appropriate. Going forward the quote posted on my facebook page will be "With God all Things are Possible" Matthew 19-26
I keep thinking of this song and all those minutes of 2011 that had such a profound impact on my life. I bid farewell to 2011 and welcome 2012.
I wish you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year!
Love,
Elaine
